As a Bitcoiner I don't understand the Trump hate. Does he lie to get votes like every other politician? Of course. Has he mostly left Bitcoin alone during a critical growth period? Absolutely yes. - Would Bitcoiners be better off had Clinton and Harris been elected instead? I'd say pretty objectively not based on the Biden presidency. Of course, don't trust any politician but there is the way things ought to be and the way things are. In the United States as it currently exists with a two party system, I'll take Trump over any of the other recent options.

Devil's Advocate: I have a relative who is a farmer. Years ago I asked him about GMOs and he said, "rich people can buy non-GMO. If you want to feed the world you need to cut corners and costs with GMOs." II have no doubt there is a cost to the proliferation of glyphosate usage but there is a different cost to producing organic foods in a quantity that will feed the entire population.

I think those fee rates are gossiped to the entire network so I doubt it's possible. Maybe it's possible for the node to charge different fees that what it publicly advertises? Then the true fee would be discovered when looking for a payment route.
