I have to wonder if many Christian's have actually read the old testament.

Have been running am interesting experiment over the last week or so. After reading the old testament [although not all of it] I have concluded that the god of the old testament is not the god of Jesus. And, if we make an assumption of removing Peter and John's influence, on the basis of being bad actors, and include books by those closer to Jesus (brother James and "twin" Thomas, as well as the favoured Mary), we come to quite a different canon and message.

Ah yes, that's the one I raised. Was a while ago I looked at this but came across deletion event challenges whilst working on Glad to see it's fixed! FYI

It's quite interestinf if you peel away the roman and institutional elements of the new testament too.
