Thanks for reporting this, we’ll take a look. In the meantime, login with the Alby extension should work, and you can always log in using your npub as well.

Spam filtering is layered. Many clients already filter spam, but relays still play big a role. On Azzamo, the first filter is paid access, which removes most abuse by design. We also rely on a Web of Trust for importing notes. Spam is defined by behavior like flooding, automation, and abuse, not opinions. Using other relays is unaffected; their rules and your client’s filters still apply.

Main difference is rate limits and purging. The free relay is rate-limited and may purge data over time, with best-effort uptime. On the premium relay, payment itself is the spam prevention. It has guaranteed uptime, no rate limits, and no purging.
