So now I seem to have traced one stem of my family right back to Alfred the Great (!!!) and into the 300s AD to Romans in France, through it being recorded and easily found on google. Incredible!!!

Seeing all the incredible artwork in the Walker gallery today from across centuries was eerily inspiring…just being so close to people and paint that has lasted for hundreds of years reminds you of all the echoes of life that have come before us and all that is to come I’d love to be remembered in love
