Got in 47 push ups. That's about 12 more than my maximum the last time I tried. Guess my base is getting stronger. Thanks for the morning inspiration π€
I called a company today in Canada to check on something I ordered weeks ago. They said it was sent by post and they have no idea when it will arrive. I asked if the post was managed by the Canadian government. They said yes. I laughed. They sighed. The end.
Great to see your face man π€ Fuck shirts. Primal house for life
Welcome to nostr man π€
You might want to start recording the sources of these posts. My guess on this one is Rizzo

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen

Any utopian endeavor will end in disaster. Ben Woosley made me aware of the concept of protopia, which is a gradual consistent system of making small improvements rather than trying to reach some kind of final ideal state which never comes. I like the protopian vision. It doesn't involve telling anyone what to do.

You got me. It's all fake
Yeah there's a ton of noise to sift through. It's almost infinite, but I'm working on a book right now. The baseline is aimed at avoiding any form of 'should' or 'ought'. Rather to encourage voluntary agreements and a web of trust to exclude those who break agreements or impose on others.
That was the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Probably cost $500+

He didn't term himself a socialist. The policies he's recommending are largely socialist. In other words, inherently centralizing. He's also pushing hard on the climate change agenda, which I can empathize with to some degree, but always with skepticism because it's the primary socialist talking point at the moment. These terms are fluid in a way, but they do matter.
Uh oh...
I just impulsively did a market buy for more than a years worth of my usual DCA π€·
When you sell a car vs renting one you realize what a massive scam car rental services are. I hope we can come up with a better system one day. I just traded in a car I bought 5 years ago for 20K and got 10K for it. If I'd sold it myself I would have gotten more. I put about 85,000 miles on it during that time and of course I spent a few hundred dollar on maintenance during that time. The last car I rented cost me $800 for one week and it was a newer model of the same car I traded. Wild.
I saw some attempts to build a DNA free web at lab484 yesterday. It's an admirable effort. They were using meshtastic, bitchat, and ecash. Calling it web5.
I walked into a convenient store in rural America and saw a BTC ATM near the door. I touched the screen to check out the interface and the spread. The machine was turned off. When I asked the clerk about it he said, "We don't want to have anything to do with those scams." I asked for clarification and he told me that an employee of the store had been social engineered into putting the whole cash register into the machine and sending the BTC to someone over the phone. He said an elderly man came in with 35K in cash and was feeding it into the machine while talking with someone on the phone. The clerk interrupted the scam and the old man left to go to the other store in town with a BTC ATM. Luckily the clerk was aware of the other store and called ahead to save the guy from being scammed. There's no easy solution to these issues.
