Well, I'm now unemployed. Right after adopting a second dog. Paid $3,200 to get both laparoscopic spays. Maeve has been healing great and is almost back to normal. Jinx (the lab I adopted/rescued) popped her stitches in 2 locations because her sedation meds did absolutely nothing. One of the opened incisions was deep enough to insert my pinky up to the first knuckle. Back to vet and another $300 to get stapled shut. Meds for both dogs. About $4,000 and I lose my job a week before rent is due. I guess it's easier to blame me and another worker as being thieves than it is for her to admit that her own junkie gambling addicted son has been robbing his own mother.

The new lab "Jinx" who seems to be about a year old & my APBT mix "Maeve". Took a vet visit together to have some ovaries harvested and tests done. Jinx is positive for Lyme & anaplasmosis. Maeve has early hip dysplasia. 😭

Of course I then lose my job afterwards, $3,500 later. The stress is killing me. 😂

New addition to the family. She escaped an animal control hold from another county by chewing through the crate she was held in and I found her outside under my porch hiding from the rain, hours away. Animal control in my town picked her up. Shelter was full and she ended up held by an animal control officer right in my back yard. I felt bad she was crated while he was at work, so I began taking her on walks and adventures with my dog. She became glued to my daughter and cried for a half hour every night when we took her back. Legal hold was up and she was not claimed, so we took her in.

Why do things have to happen at the absolute worst times possible? Took in a rescue dog who was supposed to be spayed. Turns out she wasn't and she tested positive for lyme & anaplasmosis. $3,500 later and I'm laid off work them same damn day. Absolute bullshit.
