Good morning ☕️
Likewise 👥✨
I once reacted to someone‘s note with kind of a bad attitude. Just a few minutes later when I realized I wasn‘t the nostrich I want to see in the world, I felt ashamed. And you know what, that reaction of mine was left without comment. A silent treatment, if you will 😁 That would never happen anywhere else. “Just let him cool down” was what I felt from the nostr space. I love it here 👥💜
What say you , can we still be friends? 😁
This would actually deserve a whole separate relay.
As a designer who also loves typography, I should apply all these rules in any situation, right? I don‘t. Because: 1️⃣ Nobody, except a few typography nerds, gives a damn. 2️⃣ If you‘re concerned about the language dying, because of how people (don‘t) use emdash, go read and write poetry, focus on the message and storytelling. If you‘re deep into it enough, the correct form will remind itself. 3️⃣ All that said, I‘m always doing my best when designing a classic physical book, for that is a medium that still deserves respect... 4️⃣ …but I also like to bend or break rules. But it must be done consciously and in sync with the topic/style of writing/… According to see emdash and assuming it‘s AI generated, I used to think like that, but I don‘t anymore. I‘m using AI to consult some of my texts with, and sometimes it‘s that I just copy paste few words or a sentence into my own text, and if I forget about the emdash there… sue me. My conclusion: Know the rules, but better think about the message.
Září říjen šiškopad 😮💨 Krásné oregano.
If there is more than 1 main thought. I don‘t expect people to read complex texts in their feed (but yes, sometimes I forget this rule of mine..).
I like Bitcoin and Nostr and all that, but as I get to know the people behind these projects, I find myself more and more fascinated by them than by the technology. What a bunch of cool and interesting people you are. 👥✨
This might depend on the Nostr client. If you just want a seamless, common user experience, I’d say Primal is your move. But try a few (Amethyst, Damus, Coracle…) and you’ll see what sticks.

Farewell, my favorite rockstar. Ace is tattooed in my heart, and in the hearts of countless guitarists who ever picked up a guitar because of him. 🤘🏻 🎸 🕊️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOJQCjBG4Yo

💀🧠 Looking for inspiration for new ways to present my (mostly) design work The goal is to showcase the key attributes of my work on the project, which is usually not just design, but might include also naming, copywriting, campaign strategy, etc. What options for a portfolio are there: 1️⃣ Solo website A personal website that includes a portfolio, usually in the form of case studies, is a classic. For me, the downside is the need to set up each new project’s landing page, since I like to present each project in a different way to match the mood and support the storytelling. 2️⃣ Dribbble/Behance Platforms for designers to showcase their work. Easy to use. Suitable for those who don’t want or need to run a standalone website. Despite Dribbble being the standard, using it as the main showcase solution kind of positions you right there - in the standard zone. 3️⃣ Printed presentation Impressive, if crafted with care. Also the physical medium feels more serious - the effect of proof of work. But comes with issues, distribution being the biggest, if you need to deliver portfolio on demand worldwide. 4️⃣ Video reviews A video documentary about work on a specific project - including the designer’s commentary, thoughts, and insights - seems like a pretty effective and valuable way to showcase the full scale of contribution. I haven’t actually seen this portfolio format yet. It would be quite difficult to produce, though. So far, I’m using a combination of a simple website and a Dribbble portfolio, which works just fine. But I’d like to explore more options. So, what else is out there? Have you experimented with any other solutions.. ? Your insights will be appreciated: #asknostr
