Love your work on all this! Always informative and well researched. Its sad that one 6 page opinion piece caused so much damage and yet that was probably the aim since it always takes significanty more data to counter it. The damage got done.

I mean they literally do. It would potentially reduce their income by disabling a source of fee pressure. Supporting is also very risky since theres no consensus and they could find themselves on the wrongside of a minority chain. Amongst other reasons. Its not an "easy" decison to make and its not the likely choice either
