Spot on, and this is the point I was making, Pepe became the meme of everything, so much it became art, not only as in visually, but in the art of memeing itself. Still no meme on the internet is as well known as Pepe. Even younger generations know the frog a mile off. š
Canāt speak for others, but for our team, Pepe is the character that is memeing the whole clown world that we live in today and reminds us that even though things going on outside maybe serious, people can have some fun. Pepe is literally the meme of everything. Reminding us to not take ourselves or sometimes the world too seriously. When it comes to Bitcoin, Pepe is that face or character that brings that golden comedic energy to the way some people react over Bitcoin or other things related or not in the world. Then thereās always the lore of Pepe over at The book of Kek, which it seems that some people decided to run with as a cult and actually believe it to be some nefarious cult. Especially in a time where people were calling Bitcoin itself a cult and unsurprisingly many still actually believe it is a cult to this day. šø>š±
Well the facts are that āthose peopleā whom you spoke of in your earlier post realty have nothing to do with or know anything about Pepe or what means to Bitcoiners or Bitcoin culture. Other groups of people may have picked up Pepe or just about anything in life with a nefarious purpose, but does not mean the thing itself is nefarious. You know the saying āGuns donāt t kill people. People kill people.ā
Thanks for commenting š§”, but a few things are being misconstrued here. Firstly are responsible for the magazine. Great work that we definitely salute and support, but not our project itself. š«” Second, there are groups of people who either just donāt know, are misguided or made up their own narratives around what Pepe is and what Pepe represents, those are likely the people youāre referring to. Nothing to do with the Pepe meme or itās affiliation with Bitcoiners or Bitcoin art. Just a load of babble tbh, for Bitcoiners and artists, that just mostly intensified memeing the hell out of those people that either were spreading those falsities or believed in it. When you say āoriginal NFT movementā what do you refer to? Asking as most people donāt even really know where the original NFT movement came from or when it started, so to even attempt to explain it weād need to know what you mean by this. couldnāt understand it at first either until explained the relevance. Now itās part of his art all the time, even evolving. Donāt worry though there are still plenty of long time Bitcoiners who still donāt understand it even, so youāre not alone. šø
