> humans are egoistic, they hate each other and this will never change. perhaps the humans you're describing, are the same ones who live under authority, perhaps they'll change under different circumstances. If humans are like this though, isn't that a good reason not to give them a throne? perhaps that'll humbles them what we know for certain is that humans can do the most heinous stuff under authority, see Milgram's psychological experiment where he asked people to electrically shock another person to death, and they couldn't stop even though their humanity were trying to slap some sense into them (they were shaking, trembling, sweating.. and asking if they can stop), but their belief in authority has taken over their essence. Milgram: "the essence of obedience consists in the fact that a person comes to view themselves as the instrument for carrying out another person's wishes, and they therefore no longer see themselves as responsible for their actions. Once this critical shift of viewpoint has occurred in the person, all of the essential features of obedience follows" I say that belief in authority comes from indoctrination, we're born into this system after all, it's the only thing we have seen.. force is easy, but it takes a strong person to imagine a different world. > But apparently even that is too much to ask... Yes it is, (I'm sorry).. look what they do to their fellow statists, read about the "No Asshole Rule".. the 1% of assholes want to control everyone.. so YES, wanting to opt out is a LOT to ask
