Thank you for the insightful answer! So, a job where you have to show up every (week) day and be there for X amount of hours to do Y work that you are told to do, is the problem.

Is it normal to hate basically every day at the job? Is that the status quo of everybody?

I'd say an additional option is to not let this happen, by helping to bring the right people in the seats.
