The term "mortgage" comes from Old French mort gage, meaning "death pledge". This is derived from the Latin mortuus ("dead") and Old French gage ("pledge").

People don't judge a fish negatively just because it can't climb a mountain (maybe some do). It doesn't makes sense to judge something negatively just because it doesn't meet the standard of the judger. The fish's purpose is to swim, not to climb mountains. Likewise, it doesn't makes sense to judge a human as an irrelevant being just because it lives in a water ball whirling around a hot ball throughout the big empty space for some billions of years until everything explodes. Man's greatness is not measured by how long he lives or by how big he is physically. Man's greatness is determined by how close he is to his creator (god).

I sent to you my telegram in the DM. Let's start from the beginning. What is time? How much is 1 second? Time is an illusion. """One second is the internationally defined unit of time and is equal to the duration of 9,192,631,770 cycles of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 atom""" Everything that has motion, mass, magnitude and coordinates (x, y, z) is an illusion. It appears to be true, but it isn't. Truth doesn't have motion, mass, magnitude, coordinates, etc... Because of that, truth doesn't have "time". Truth transcends time. The atoms of a tree you find in the street are the same atoms that made the teeth of dinosaurs, and tomorrow those same atoms will be somewhere else, perhaps will be in an ice cream. Everything that is temporalized is constantly changing, and because of that it's hard to get evidence. For example, if the Earth was suddenly destroyed by a super ultra bomb there would be no evidence that we existed. We know that the dinosaurs existed because we see their bones, but if we didn't have the bones, we wouldn't know they existed. Now talking about the golden age... The progress of civilization doesn't go up in a straight line. History is cyclic. (search for "Hindu Yuga cycle"). Perhaps the entire universe is cyclic. The sun comes and goes. Empires rise and fall. We just have a perceived notion that we are more advanced because of our technology, but the true golden age is advanced spirituality and thus technologically as well. Thoughts are not in the "time" dimension, they transcend time and thus can be acquired for anyone who knocks. You can build a computer today as well as 300 thousand years ago as well as 300 thousand years ahead. All you need to do is knock to the cosmic door. As far as evidence, here it goes: - Many writers mentioned the existence of Atlantis - The Lost Continent of Mu - Antarctica was a big jungle once and yet all countries decide not to explore it, which doesn't make sense, there's something hidden there. - Graham Hancock studies these topics and shows the flaws in mainstream ideas. - Pyramids all over the world (including in Antartica) - Ancient Egyptian Surgery

I say we change the calendar and make 2008 the new year 0. So I can say: "I was born 4 B.B" and others can say: "I was born 20 A.B" and so on B.B = Before Bitcoin A.B = After Bitcoin

After YEARS of struggle (literally), I finally managed to find the movie I used to watch when I was a child. It's a 45 minute french movie. The name is The Happy Elf, from 2005. It's easily available in paid streaming, but those streamings must be american. So, this movie is available in American Apple TV, but not in Brazilian Apple TV. There's no torrent for it. I managed to download in HD but it has French audio and I can't find English or Portuguese subtitles. Helpppp

Question: Is it worth getting a computer science degree today? Why or why not? The Ultimate Answer: Absolutely not. It's better to have a goal-oriented (or project-oriented) mindset and learn along the way! And contribute to Open Source. Every great opportunity I've had in life was through Open Source. Too long; didn't read: if you want to do something just start doing it immediately, right now https://stacker.news/items/1252936?commentId=1252977 cc

I think everyone has powers and all the negatives qualities of a person may be transmuted into positive. For example, someone lazy could use the laziness to find a better/faster way of performing a task. I still haven't figured out what is my power, perhaps intuition. What is your power?
