Seems like corporate welfare. I bet these will cost a fortune in spare parts

My father-in-law is a chemical engineer. He is insanely gifted. We were trying on nitrile gloves together years ago and I asked him what it would cost to manufacture them today. I will never forget his answer… "We can’t, we don’t know how to do it." https://archive.ph/zcwYo

What would be good would be if DRC specifically had a switch for the home feed or a tab for itself (or - and this might be more difficult and a waste of time since others haven't signed up yet - whatever fedi account they sign up to bridge with)

Small sample size but that's at least two adderall gimmick accounts into porkers.

I'm not suggesting you should donate to any of the people but a lot of accounts have been hit (and I assume continue to be) so it shouldn't be surprising that some of the people who got hit are on here. Coldcard is a maxi product and there are heaps of them here.

Modern bluetooth devices don't send personally identifiable info when they receive discovery requests

The MIT license is OSI approved. All three you mentioned include closed source elements. It's not the same thing

He reused Trezor's crypto libraries to create his product, then rewrote the code (badly) in a more restrictive license to prevent competition. His product had less functionality (BTC only) but because it was air gapped people thought it was more secure

H

It is open source in the sense that the source code is available for review. It's on the MIT License that they migrated to, to prevent other companies legally reusing their code in commercial competitors. This change, which involved rewriting all of their GPL code introduced the vulnerability that was exploited

Yes, though a huge portion (perhaps the majority) involves social engineering

I saw at least one guy on here say he was wiped out yesterday

I sure am glad this guy gets to decide where opensats spends its money
