I was using magnesium oxidate for a while, but I was talking to a co-worker of mine who's much more knowledgeable about supplementing, and I recently switched to magnesium glycinate, which apparently is more bioavailable, if I understand correctly. And yeah, I think the constant time zone shifting is definitely not helping me. Three hours every time I go to the east coast and two hours every time I go central is not the end of the world but not necessarily fun either.
