GDP counts govt spending as productive lol. Third world authoritarian hellholes like India use such Keynesian tricks to try to fool the voters into thinking we're growing, all while quietly expanding money supply, which actually stagnates society by transferring wealth to the Cantillionaires. A better gauge of economic freedom world be the size of uncensorable circular economies running on Bitcoin.
A 3D-printed Glock or equivalent is a great equaliser regardless of strength or height. The state's monopoly on violence has made it dangerously risky, both physically and legally, for us to look out for each other and build actual supportive, thriving communities. Perhaps wider Bitcoin adoption (as money, p2p) can gradually weaken these centralised, controlling systems and restore our natural incentives for mutual protection.
Yes, earning Bitcoin p2p would certainly help strengthen circular economies and weaken state power. But is hodling really rent-seeking? Rent-seeking is extracting wealth from others using state-granted privileges (monetary expansion, subsidies, tariffs, regulatory capture). Bitcoin hodlers aren't doing that. They're voluntarily deferring present consumption for future purchasing power, which is a much-needed prerequisite for a freer civilisation. Network security after all isn't funded only by spenders or earners. It ultimately depends on demand to hold bitcoin as well.
Such a concise description of free markets, and what freedom really means. I ended up listening to the entire episode. It was really a heartfelt and empowering conversation. Thank you so much! Always worth the time to listen to artist Bitcoiners. 🧡
Yes, they avoid humans and are mostly nocturnal. Next time I'll try a10k to a different trail and see if I can spot peacocks there. Really need to run a 10k. I have been doing only 4-6k-ish for months now. This summer was really unbearable, recurrent heatwaves, so it was difficult to run for long even in the early mornings. But now the monsoon has just started, so we are sooo back 😄👍👍✌️
Yes I did! I also stumbled upon a golden jackal today on the trails. He seemed curious about me too, as I was waving and whistling at him to get his attention. We call them kolo mama (Uncle Jackal) here in Goan folklore hahah 🦊🧡
India is truly the world's largest hellhole. It's really exhausting and demoralising living here. Long-term thinking is systemically punished at every level. I hate democracy, the voters, and the cockroaches they so dutifully elect as rulers for instant gratification. What gives me hope though is Bitcoin. Every day I'm grateful to the cypherpunks who give us permissionless tools to lower our taxable events and assert our individual rights, at least digitally. I hope more Indians understand inflation and start accepting Bitcoin for their services/goods so we can have proper circular economies here and build futures worth staying for. 🧡
Circular economies really make me all teary eyed, man. They're so beautiful 🧡🧡 i hope more people here in India understand inflation too, and start accepting bitcoin for their own services/goods
Ok I just fixed it. Had to create a test account to confirm. 😂 Thanks for altering man
