Capitalism cares for the poor, in a humanist society. Nobody will starve or go without shelter under this system, because it produces enough wealth to feed everyone, and only few people won't find a way to contribute. People are generally good, and will voluntarily give to those in need, at least if those make efforts to be good. However, there are many people who will redefine "poor" to mean not "without food and shelter", but "having significantly less than the median/average", leading to -> Social democracy, which cares for the *relatively* poor, those who demand cheap housing, not in the outskirts but in inner cities, with heating, water, electricity, data plans, holiday trips, theater and concert visits paid for by everyone else (the state) because "inequality". After every step, they redefine their demands to be afforded more, for free. This constant redefinition, along with the contorted motivation structure due to getting "free stuff", reduces productivity enough to become a self-reinforcing loop, leading to -> Socialism, which utterly removes any motivation to voluntarily produce, or to spend resources productively, with everyone ending up absolutely poor, except for those on top, because they control the power of violence and can force the plebs to work for them, leading to -> Revolution a la Milei, leading to -> Capitalism… The frequency is about a hundred years (3-4 generations)
