So, .gov.uk wants to roll out the UK's new National Parking Platform app 🚗 nationwide and I think it's worth asking some hard questions before we all forced to download it. What I want to know: - 🔓 Will it be open source? Transparency matters for public infrastructure. - 🤝 Will user data be shared with or dependent on the likes of Google, Apple, Meta, X, or other third parties? - 🏠 Who actually owns the data and where will it be stored? - 🔄 If you opt out completely what alternatives exist? Privacy shouldn't be the price of participation in modern life. Not everyone wants to register with US Big Tech just to park their car. I think this is a valid choice.
