We all know how predators work: Pedophiles seek jobs with access to kids. Rapists target the vulnerable. Thieves go where the money is. Authoritarians don’t “end up” in power by accident—they crave positions of authority for the same reason: it gives them captive prey, legitimized control, and impunity. Power attracts those who want to dominate. Always has, always will. No checks, no reforms, no “good ones” change the pattern. The role itself is the lure. Predators seek prey. Stop pretending authority is the exception.

Agreed. This thread was about likes versus zaps. I think they made a terrible mistake when they kept these actions separated. People love zaps—even trolls love them. Trolls will troll less if there are better incentives for doing good.
