Haven't read the book but you reminded me of a story I heard: There was once a king who loved the graceful curves of the rooster. He asked the court artist to paint a picture of a rooster for him. For one year he waited and still this order was not fulfilled. In a rage, he stomped into the studio and demanded to see the artist. Quickly the artist brought out paper, paint, and brush. In five minutes a perfect picture of a rooster emerged from her skillful brush. Oh something I didn't mention in the zine: look into getting a doula. This is a woman who will make your wife and you comfortable during birth. She is like a support person who knows what she's doing. And make sure she knows about lactation support (how to breastfeed) because that is not intuitive! You have to learn how to do that while you're still being stitched up or whatever.

Congrats! Thanks for mentioning my zine! @Malos10 you don't have to buy it, you can read the whole thing in the preview. It focuses mostly on pregnancy. I recommend reading Happiest Baby on the Block. Or at least looking up what the 5 S's are. It helps with newborn babies. Gotta say the first three months were tough. I was healing and learning how to care for a baby.
