Having said all that a Bitcoiner friend I was speaking to this evening said he's done it alone many times with only positive results. I've never done it so his experience counts more than my inexperience!

All suffering passes eventually as the karma is worked through.

I don't really know much about psychedelics but they've always seemed like the shitcoins of spirituality. I don't doubt that for some people they are very effective and can help work through childhood trauma but what if you have a really bad trip that fucks you up. I follow a Bitcoiner on X who claims he was taken over by demons on a very bad trip and almost lost his life. I certainly wouldn't be trying this shit alone and would need to be in a controlled and supervised environment. I think as a dad myself, while its tempting , I'll stick to good old fashioned meditation. Slow and steady wins the race for me, just like Bitcoin 🏆

This was quite an interesting one Jake, thank you. I liked the concept that spiritual masters of the past discovered the truth in their own way and then taught it to their followers. I think structured spirituality and or religion will always have its place as many people just need rules to follow. Others though can follow their own path and that will work for them. I would just be wary of creating a shopping list of different spiritual techniques as it can lead to dispersion of energy and focus and not really developing patience which is one of the keystones of any spiritual practice. I belive that the truth is the truth is the truth, meaning ultimately there is only one reality and we all view it through our own filter. Our ultimate purpose as humans is to get as close to that truth as possible and help others to do the same. Ultimately we are all one, ego is an illusion.
