I am thankful that the Bip-110 guys are hard forking. If the arguments they made are valid and miners and exchanges do start attacking plebs, we will have a fall back chain. If they’re wrong, then they can come back. No-one has to touch their coins on either chain. All any pleb has to is nothing to enjoy the potential benefits of this outcome

Freedom tech is still awesome and there’s much hope, but money may have been a step too far. Not enough people are actually up for a fight, most prefer self congratulation and mental masturbation than actually taking a stand for what they believe in. My favourite is when Americans tell me they have freedom. So deluded, but the Matrix is strong

The main upshot of this Bip-110 situation is that I’m fully liberated from paying any attention to the chattering podcast/influencer crowd. I plan to keep my Bitcoin, but only for the fiat gains. The dream of a decentralised, private money for all is effectively dead at this point. It’s a wealthy western man’s game now, very sad to see but at least I know where I stand
