Centralised SM is ultimately controlled by KYC and State mandates. Only the US has rules to enable hands off SM and only the current administration has exercised this. Network effects and hypnotic lighting will not save centralised SM when the content is sanitised and irrelevant, especially when truth is found here. It's voluntary and because it requires full referendum to change the system, probably less corruptible. If a system like this works, then we could dismantle shadow ID systems. Shadow ID is the real problem. Attack surveillance capitalism at the source, its free data collection, hoarding and AI inclusion. Only allow collection of data if approved by the user via an e-ID zero knowledge proof. Then make data users pay for the use of that data and end surveillance capitalism.

AI is a statistical engine, already used for ID purposes via surveillance. Israel uses it to target humans in the Middle East, and everywhere else, already. At least overt Digital ID requirements are bringing privacy discussion into the open. Who knows, we might get more people on this platform soon.
