I just rolled 2x 16 sided dice + 1x 8 sided dice 300 times and fed the results in to Claude. Apparently one of the 16 sided was biased and the final comment on the others was “you’ll be fine using them for a game but you’ll need to perform 500 more rolls if you want to be sure for anything important” FFS

I experienced the mainstreaming of the internet and the internet was cute and fun before it became an economic vector. LLMs feel different they have a wild ability that feels inconsistent yet taps into a fundamental mechanism and are at least 10,000 times more capable at a knowledge task than a human. Every day brings a new marvel. Again you need to guide it but 1 shotting complex tasks gives you a lot of signal even if it’s not perfect.

True there are many options. I’ve never tried the cut up BIP 39 word list before. I guess I’m also just self assessing that just using the RNG from multiple devices is perhaps more random than a badly executed manual method.
