If you were paid X for a grant 2 years ago, and especially for FOSS, an AI agent is able to do more and more software, why wouldn't you expect grant size/amounts to decrease? This is good for the FOSS ecosystem. The same amount of grant dollars can get more work done. This is creative destruction playing out.
