This is why current political discourse is plagued by religious motifs, and western secularism is now western religious extremism.

It seems to me that you are not only implying but also acknowledging that you need a community behind you— people to support you in your efforts to live freely and well while you and the state+banks give each other the middle finger. This is the crux of the matter for all of us, the core of our problems; from the 9 to 5 slave who wants a different lifestyle, the anti-state dude who’s debanked and censored, to the cypherpunks who want whatever it is cypherpunks want these days. But instead of unity and support, we get prominent nostr devs acting like jerks, regular users treating this is like just another twitter craving likes, zaps, and follows, and popular users with lots of followers accepting donations and lots of zaps while acting condescending 24/7 or taking a break to whine about stuff… We need figures like those revolutionaries and the few incorruptible union leaders who rallied to fight in the early 20th century, not just nostr leaders funded but dubious grants seeking adoption and a slice of the social media market.

Fuck that, people have freed themselves before because freedom is latent in the mind of man; the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, the Socialist Revolutionaries of Russia, the MFA in Portugal, and many more examples in France, Burkina Faso, Bolivia, Chile, Yugoslavia, Kerala, Grenada… One should not become despondent over the insidious nature of the currently dominant pseudo democracies

If you want unbiased journalism and truthful reporting you need to fund it yourself, you the people. Then when journalists begin to falter you keep them in line by pulling funds out. Humanity has been raised a crooked lot, one hand needs to check on the other. But this should be organized funding, no patreon, no subscription, no zaps, no random crypto donations; the current system is built on broken rails. Now think of all the things that go unchecked and are controlled by cliques and private clubs—many of which include some of your beloved freedom tools.

But this story of Albania is being swept under the rug, in mainstream media they all talk about Albania and kushner’s resort. The masses are turned into horses in real time, social media is the blinkers. The same is happening in Latin American countries and the story of Bolivia, most latam countries get diluted stories of the clashes and in some cases no story at all—we need social mobilization and community networks to burn these blinkers to the ground
