We cancelled Apple TV recently and are thinking of also eliminating our Netflix subscription. It's mostly garbage anyway.

It’s no different here in the United States. Multiple school shootings, a church shooting with kids inside, a woman stabbed on a train where nobody helped her, an assassination… these are all things that have happened in this country recently. All we can do is be the best versions of ourselves. We choose from two life paths to follow.. follow God or follow Satan. Whichever you choose from these two paths pretty much dictate the kind of person you will turn out to be.

It's hard to see and hear your own kids grieve and as parents we want to shield them from pain, but this is part of the life process and it will invariably help them through other tough things in life. One other thing that comes to mind is when I buried my pet in the long past, I didn't bury the pet deep enough and something came to dig it up, which is not something you want your kids to witness, for sure. Another Nostr user, I forget who, just had this same thing happen a few weeks ago so hopefully this doesn't happen to you.
