it's not as simple as that. we try to support as many NWC providers as possible. + not all providers support notification events + a single lnbits instance can have hundreds+ users + nwc spec lacks batch lookup + LNbits instances aren't always online + unpaid / failed invoices still have to be checked so yes. it's not ideal, but barking on the internet won't fix it
