i might be wrong but, it’s not a change in consensus, right? so ultimately i don’t think it matters. two philosophies but neither are fundamentally changing bitcoin. they just disagree on how certain transactions should be entered onto the ledger. either directly, or indirectly. knots is like your mother trying to tell you not to do something, but you can find a way to do it anyways. core is like your father telling you it’s stupid to do something, but he is not gonna stop you.
