I was reading the book -What I didn't learn in Harvard Business School- and this is the quote that stood out "in our twenty-odd years in business, 90% of our successes have involved in some way the need for patience, and 90% of our failures have been caused in part by a lack of it." If I am being honest, in my personal life I feel stagnant and would like to spend money on things of vanity. However, even in my intoxicated mind, I know it wouldn't make me feel satisfied. To manage this I hit the gym 6days/week, increased my protein intake to 2lbs of ground beef and 12 eggs/day, audio bible in the AM, the Shawn Ryan Show podcast, working about 50-72hrs/week. I haven't trained BJJ since April 12 but looking forward to getting into it when time permits, and I regularly call mentors and peers throughout the week to vent. What methods do you utilize to handle the discomfort that comes with patience?
