I maybe doing things the hard way, but I was hoping this would be a learning project. Problem: tracking finances manually is tedious. Also waiting for a statement at the end of the month I tend to forget about. In college i used to be good manually tracking. I don’t like the idea of third party apps linking to accounts. Now that I’m working with Linux, and Claude is fun. Here’s my self project Solution: I wanted to make my own tracker where I can take pics of receipts and upload to my own Linux server where it would automatically keep track of what I spend. Am I doing things the hard way? Any tips? It’s mostly to aid in my learning journey #asknostr #linux

Ended up landing on Mark Twain the adventure of Huckleberry Finn. Hard to read at times due to the language, but at the point in the book where Huck is conflicted with returning Jim (the slave accompanying him in his journey) and keeping his promise to help Jim get to the free states. Moments in life lead to opportunities to live out your convictions. I am reminded to listen to that voice in your head.

Took a while, but finally set up my own node. Lightning node also up and running...now what?
