I love that too! And today i was thinking the same about plants. Now I can offer small aromatics as a gift 💝 🌱
One long text todays as i get inspired about all the nature & garden people i am connecting with here 🌿 Today I share some pictures from my favorite new place at home. This space that has been so many things (studio, my son's playroom, storage room...) is now almost exclusively a greenhouse. We gave it this use because it was something we wanted and needed, and also something I sensed could be a good idea. The reality is that I wasn't aware of how much. Since becoming a mother, I inhabit the outside with less freedom than before, and each stage of my son's life shapes what, how, and when I inhabit it. That's why, even though I tried to strengthen my bond with the garden, it wasn't happening, and I could only manage to harvest every so often. But then we decided to inaugurate the greenhouse. And then the plants conquered my everyday, and I conquered theirs. We have a close bond, I look at them, I care for them, I know them better. And I'm part of their process: from a tiny seed to a seedling that debates every day whether or not to keep standing. Here the heat is intense, so watering is daily. Every morning or evening I dedicate a while to seeing them, observing them, tending to them. And I'm confirming what that implies. I already knew it. I had experienced it in other contexts and read about it. This contact, minimal, subtle, alters our life, in the good sense. It regulates our system, slows our rhythms, connects us to life and its cycles in a beautiful way. A few weeks away from becoming a mother again, I know this space will be even more vital. An oasis of peace, a space of care and nourishment, both literal and symbolic, that I'm certain will know how to accompany me in the mystery of what's coming. #farmstr #momstr #plantstr
We’re still figuring out if they’re girls or boys. We can’t wait to name them! 😄
Yes, it’s a real journey and it can be everyday without losing its impact! I recommend the book The Well-GroundedMind by Sue Stuart-Smith. I love it 🥰
Smart 🫶🏽
There’s something special where gardening and psychology meet. Ever since I started spending time in the greenhouse every day, planting, watering, and caring for the plants, something subtle has been happening. I still don’t quite know how to explain it, but it feels good 🌱🧡 #farmstr
