NWC needs to send notifications to your device in the background to function properly. On Android, we use Google Firebase Messaging to deliver these notifications reliably.

Instead of using the Blitz LNURL address, you need to establish an NWC connection with your Nostr client. However, Blitz NWC is still in an early, experimental stage, so LNURL remains the most reliable method for receiving payments.

"Can you send me an invoice?" "Here's the Invoice" "It expired" "Ugh. Here's a new one" Just give someone http://blitzwalletapp.com/yourname once. They can pay you whenever.

Everything works without push notifications except for NWC, so you should be all set without them.

Yes, NWC is something we plan to revisit in the future. It’s not at the level of performance we’re aiming for.
