Oh yes do it! It’s one of my favorite countries. Always such a great experience everywhere we go. And also an amazing leaning experience for the whole family 🤩
#workcation hits different here. We’re on the way home after a week in rural Central Vietnam. One week is never enough in this place. If you come, try to book as long as possible. A month is good. 😄 #pubwithcoldbeer #phongnha #vietnam #digitalnomad #family #travel
Good reminder. I had an Alby notification the other day… started to log in, got distracted and here I am. I’ll try remember to sort it tomorrow 😅🙈
That’s a hard question. A lot of people I met in my very unconventional life are propelled to live more fully due to death or very scary life experiences. Most people are motivated by fear or almost breaking point negativity. But Bitcoin is a beacon of light. Many people don’t realize the shit storm beneath the financial system. Ultimately, I think very little of systemized life actually works. Most people are just taught that is how it is and we might notice flaws but that’s how it is. So it is accepted. For me, showing people why what we have doesn’t work tends to start at dollars being backed by thin air, debt and tell our family story. People often become more open and interested as a result. But it’s often over many conversations and not often a one conversation change. This is often how change works though. Lots of small to large mindset shifts over time is the thing that leads to change and I’m hopeful enough of my generation is smart enough to see the need 🧡
In the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on migrating my old Wordpress site (thanks AI). It’s happened pretty quick which I’m happy with and although I now have a lot of updating to do, I’m far more motivated to get it done than any time in the past. This week we’re out in a small rural village called Phong Nha, home to the world’s largest cave and one of my favorite places in the world. At dinner, an older couple approached our table and asked if I have a travel blog. They told me they came here because of my blog. I realized if people traveled because they read something in my old terrible blog, then I’m doing the right thing by moving it to a system that I’ll actually be motivated to maintain. I’m happy. 😊 📸 sunset at Phong Nha Farmstay tonight 🤩 #digitalnomad #family #travel #vietnam #sunset #grownostr
Thanks so much! You’re in Ethiopia?! How long? The countries of the African continent are very tempting for me to visit 🤩🤩🤩
We were flying out of Hong Kong 😊
No issues paying. I know they are trying to shift people to digital ids but so many of the country are bankless anyway (like go rural and it’s a cash economy). I haven’t heard issues from any of my friends. I have money in an account and no issues for my Vietnam account. Will report back if anything changes 😊🙏
A photo from our flight out. Since then the whole house got the flu and we are all so grateful to be at home (I got hit last - I had thought I’d be lucky and miss out) 🏝️ Looking forward to getting back to life asap. Currently drinking 4+ liters of water and taking 2000mg vitamin c a day, I think I’ll be good again tomorrow 🤞
It’s absolutely stunning. The people are some of the kindest, most generous people in the world. The Vietnamese are extremely resourceful with the very little they have, they achieve so much with very little. They have appreciation for life in a way you rarely see anywhere else. Also the food. If you don’t come for the beauty, the history or the culture, come for the food. It is fabulous 💯
