If you know anyone who likes to vibe code or likes contributing to open-source tagging or reposting this would help. https://github.com/Kelbie/bitchat.land/issues These are some of the open issues, if anyone wants to submit their own issues that they have with the website that would also be helpful!
Oops I replied with the wrong account, DM either one and Iβll add you.
Anyone want to help out with https://bitchat.land? I have a lot of easy tasks and some medium tasks. Iβve open sourced it but itβs a lot of work to keep up with the pace that & move at. Comment below or DM if interested.
The spam we experience on #Bitchat is 100 messages per second like ";;;;;;;;;;;;;;". That is a bad thing, with PoW thats mostly fixed or at least its limited.
When I eventually add private messaging this will be considered a bit more https://primal.net/e/
yeah, you are right. I'll see if codex can one shot this for me π
All this might be needlessly complex, but that's just my initial thoughts on the PoW idea.
Does this use NIP13? I wanna add this to bitchat.land
Does it make sense for the PoW to scale with the specificity of the geohash? For example, #9q is pretty hot, so a PoW of 12 would probably be far too easy for a dedicated spammer. But for a channel like #9qqqq, a PoW of 12 might be fine, since spammers are unlikely to see that as prime real estate. I think of the difference between these two channels as similar to the difference between Times Square and a billboard in a quiet part of town that few people ever visit. For geohashes like #s, which are shared across 20+ countries, I would expect a lot more work to go into each message. If you want to be on the front page, you should have to put in more work in my opinion. But perhaps PoW 13 is fine for now until we feel it out more π
