Exactly. Bring it on i say, setting stupid precedents for nostr note takedown requests isn't something I want to be a part of.

I think ill go the distance with our takedown request, and not comply. The note is fetched client-side, so if they dont want to see the note, they shouldnt fetch from the event id. If German courts can not differentiate between data hosted on a site, and how nostr works, this will be their opportunity to learn.

Classic calle, shows his true self then deletes the post. During his time at lnbits I was very supportive of cashu, we invested a bunch of resources into it, and paid calle for a good time to work on it, i got him on "what bitcoin did" to shill cashu. He then started to take advantage, knowing how limited our funds were he stopped working on lnbits entirely. I encouraged him to leave and work on cashu once he had a grant but he chose to string me along to get paid. Nutstash was chopped up lnbits, commit history deleted - actually a breach in MIT licensing. Not a nice fella. Too busy to care for filth he spouts and deletes.

Primal is one of the least functional clients, especially considering the resources used to build it. Regardless of that, the real reason we dont have more users is nostr.com which i control, its the landing page for nostr, its where you go googling nostr. We get 1-2m unique views per week who all get scared away. A beautiful industry of solutions hidden behind a shitty landing page. Resources has always been our issue, we spend most of what we have maintaining LNbits, so nostr.com is a second thought. We also didnt want to be seen to be capturing users by hosting a client, but that time has passed, I think its possible to do and still funnel users into wider ecosystem. Its quite remarkable this clear bottleneck isn't more obvious for an industry that had had huge sums invested. Its so obvious. nostr.com should have a team of dedicated devs, focus groups, ux designers, instead its me squeezing in time every now and then. So yeah. Weird.

I'm so proud of my good friend Max Hillebrand for completing such an excellent book. Max is a true cypherpunk, deeply respected within the Austrian School and one of the nicest humans i know. The comment he wrote within left a tear in my eye.
