For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” I loved this verse, especially when I was a teen. I don't even think we are capable of seeing people the way God sees them. I also liked the phrase 'outward appearance' because I think it might mean more than just a person's body and clothes, but extend to how they are presented, their type of house, how people precieve them and their family, what they drive, or any quirky mannerisms a person has, etc. We can have so much knowledge about a person but so little understanding of their heart. For context, its when Jesse's boys were walking in front of the prophet Samuel for picking out the next king. I didn't watch the video, just saw this comment and loved it.
