GM🔥 Last Monday we had an addition to our place.: A horse. We've been calling him Willy, William, and sometimes Blake. The name they gave him at the rescue was Blake. Now he's associated with William Blake, the great 18th century English poet Blake had this to say about horses: "The tigers of wrath are wiser than the horses of instruction." Last night, we learned while sharing ice cream together, our oldest son and his wife will be having a baby. Another addition to our place. The transition from parent to grandparent begins. I'm looking forward to it. With it comes more eccentricity and opining. Something I always admired in my grandparents, though not at the time of course. That's it for now. It's Sunday. A day off from the mail trail. All of the family is here in the house. I'm going to go savior it before we're off to do this or that. 6AM. GM🔥 It's Saturday. I wrote Friday, then deleted it. It's my last day, then two days off. Looking forward to spending time with family at home. The fire in the photo is about burned down. I'm going to rake the coals into a pile, shut the doors, and close the damper off. Let it heat the brick, rock, and mortar that contains it. It's 18 out there. Then it's out to start the mail jeep.
