After every challenge like this, even if it lasts only a week, I feel a deep sense of satisfaction from actually finishing it. And the biggest bonus is that now I’m not as afraid of making a bad drawing and sharing it somewhere. Feeling unhappy with yourself and your work still happens sometimes, but the main thing is not to get stuck on it and to keep drawing.

https://primal.net/e/ But if you don’t give up and keep reminding yourself that you’re doing it mainly for fun, it becomes much easier. I don’t choose challenges longer than a month, because I’m pretty sure I would burn out quickly. Right now, I really like the format where I take a short break for a few days after each challenge until I feel ready to dive into something new again.

A little bit about #drawing every day. Lately, I’ve really started to enjoy different kinds of challenges, like “drawing every day for a month.” Surprisingly, at first it feels like pressure: you have to draw something every single day. And if you don’t have the energy, inspiration, or everything just turns out wrong - your inner critic immediately grabs a flag and starts a whole parade 😅

10/10 I spoke too soon about watercolor #painting coming easily. Today I rushed it, and it turned out nothing like I wanted 🙈 Tomorrow I’ll share some more detailed thoughts on art challenges, since I’ve just finished another one
