I think I got it: I often alter the DOM manually and then take screenshots to show how something should look. Your DOM-manipulation is more involved. You automate and parametrize it somewhere between the complexity of the real feature and the simplicity of a screenshot drawn on. Is that about right? Follow-up question: Are you using the manipulated DOM to formulate the tests against the real thing or do you use the manipulated DOM as snapshot checked into version control so that developers can match their snapshot recordings against it?
The same stock?
Can you show me?
Iām not a sheep fan. Iām more in the moirai fabric production process.
Is nuclear fusion still alchemy? Do I need to fuse to become complete?
Reminds me of people knowing their codebase vs newbies: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1943360399220388093.html
A bit simplistic. We are fault-tolerant systems. Elastic.
Let me digest the Github aspect here: Github works so well because of the centralist social aspects. Code gets reputation with stars, open issues/prs, code age. Itās ratings, conversations and applying patches which became much easier with āpull requestsā than with mailing lists and patch files. The role nostr should play in this analogy is that it should make all the Github-goodness uncensorable, right?
I miss the time between 2005 and 2010 when I still had a feeling of control over the IT landscape. I grew up with the internet. I could move everything with a LAMP server and Notepad++. Nobody else knew shit. The grownups came to me for advice. I took a Pascal course in highschool, the only other student was the principal of the school. I know more than ever today. But I lost touch with the fabric of the information age. I could do things, but I donāt do them.
The control aspect is unbelievable to me as well. Itās being put nicely in https://thecorporation.com/film/ The CEO doesnāt have much control in big corporations. Why would shareholders have more control? Itās about money because money is seen as a proxy for control/power. But I donāt believe that this scales well. Your live becomes very complex if you have too much money. And then as so often, we underestimate complexity and āthe corporationā becomes its own life-form. It outgrows its shareholders control and then starts to act in the world as a psychopath would.
āCultural appropriationā is how culture always works, isnāt it? Take what you like and remix.
Can I get a feed without any reposts?
Itās the exploring. I am missing this.
Damus is feeding me with what people I follow pour into the channel. I sometimes like it. But I more often do not. Itās often crap/ads/reposts. And cadence is very uneven. It would already help to prefer notes of people who dont write often over the ones who flood my feed.
I found the mistake. Itās supposed to be a Golden Ale. So Itās probably right. And yes: the last bottle is often the best š¤£
I feel like a goose.
I donāt want to be fed.
