Every time I travel I re-realize how retarded fiat is and how much better Bitcoin is than everything else. I was in Greece for two weeks recently and I kept getting ripped off buying euros for usd with criminal “fees”. One time at a bank I had to fill out a form and write down the serial numbers of the 100s I was using to buy euros. Three times a card reader wouldn’t work. All would have been avoided had we just transacted in sats the entire time. And all the vendors would’ve made 2-3% more and had final settlement in seconds. These times can’t come soon enough.

New makes from auto brands that used to be good (Toyota, Honda, VW, etc) are now just affinity scams. No new cars have good build quality or acceptable engineering. They are all garbage. 2015 is the last year of vehicle I will own. But 2000 - 2012 is the sweet spot imo. Analog ICE vehicles only. Diesel highly preferred.

Had to pay the deposit for my private sailing tour on Skiathos by wire. Full blown retarded “technology”. Cost $35 too. I tried to get the company to accept Bitcoin but they didn’t want it. Would’ve saved me $34 and 15 minutes of my time. Hopefully it’s a useful touch point for them going forward. Bitcoin is so much better as a medium of exchange than literally anything else, especially for international value transfer. I am 100% sure of this.

I think someday plebs who have fat UTXOs will be rubbing shoulders with banking conglomerates, governments, central banks, massive corporations and billionaires on-chain. Most of the world will be using Lightning and other scaling solutions. A lot of it will be custodial, some of it won’t be. Will not be feasible for regular people to gain an economical sized UTXO on-chain anymore. My guess is with purchasing power appreciation of sats and the hyper-whales using Bitcoin on-chain for daily settlement, sats/vb will perpetually be bid up so that peasants can’t afford to transact there. Could be wrong but this is a future I can see materializing. Those pleb holdovers from the before times who control economical UTXOs in this environment will be extremely powerful.

I have 3 friends left. We see each other only once or twice a year but talk on the phone weekly to monthly. Hour long conversations are routine. I’ve had these same friends for two decades now. I naturally shed everyone in my life who wasn’t a genuine friend. Felt very natural.
