I use Damus on iOS for DMs & run in to a frustrating bug. I filed the bug: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/pull/3670 I proposed a fix: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues/3669 But somehow it must have come across as a feature request & was closed because: “it is not clear the real world need for this.” 1. This bug happens by accidental user rotation of the phone. 2. iPad will regularly be used in a mix of landscape & portrait orientations. If my fix is not acceptable, could we at least keep the bug open & fix it at some point?

When you rotate to landscape (by accident) while inside of a DM conversation (which is long enough to scroll) the chat bubbles stay still? For me I scroll way upward, then when I rotate back to portrait it scrolls somewhere else.

Does anyone use on iOS? Whenever I accidentally rotate my screen while in a DM, the app scrolls somewhere random. So I filed an Issue: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/issues/3669 And I wrote up a fix: https://github.com/damus-io/damus/pull/3670 The Damus maintainers closed both because they “didn’t understand the scenario for landscape mode in DM view” So maybe my issue and PR made it sound like I was asking for this to be a feature. I’m just trying to stop a really bad user experience. Can anybody put me in touch with the Damus team to make my case that this is a bug, not a feature request?

I just did something & I’m technically ready to talk about it, but I’m shaking in my boots.
