GM Nostr Today is going to be… complicated. Wish me luck

She passed early this morning. Called us back to the hospital as soon as I turned the lights out to go to sleep. The doctor told us blood wasn’t getting to her brain from the swelling in the neck and the life support couldn’t sustain her vitals. It’s been a very surreal day trying to sort out her affairs. At least it’s brought the family closer together for sure Right now, just trying not to get overwhelmed with everything all at once and trying to take it hour by hour

To all of my loving, caring Nostriches, please send prayers 🙏 My mother had an accident earlier this morning and had a head and spinal injury. So far she’s been completely unresponsive since they’ve stabilized her and put her on life support. Two vertebraes fractured. They’ve barely been able to do any tests so far while trying to make sure she just lives and they tell me the doctors will provide a game plan by tomorrow. I just got to a hotel since I wasn’t allowed to stay there overnight with her. It’s been an all day affair of following her being medflighted, and if my wife hadn’t been there to do CPR when it all happened, I’m not sure she would have even made it to the hospital. I’m trying not to let any anger, self-loathing, or negativity into my heart. I know Jesus nor she would want me to. I’m trying to make sure she remembers she has good reason to persevere. I just need to hear my mother’s laugh again or to see her look into my eyes one more time, please Lord

I’m no expert by any means and could be completely retarded, but this was my experience: If you want easy in the US, it’s going to be KYC. If you’re in Europe, I was told Wallet of Satoshi makes it super simple but that wasn’t an option. You want to be self sovereign, it takes a little bit of investment. Not too hard thanks to things like AlbyHub in the US. If you run a btc node already, you’re pretty much halfway there. If you don’t yet, Start9 is a great product and makes it foolproof to get started running a node and a whole lot more for digital security and privacy. You then have to get a Lightning Node setup which means running something like LND off the back of your node and tying up a great deal of Sats into channels. Alby makes this pretty painless though and is a good teacher, but it does take a bit of learning. Start9 really helps in the original process with all of their plentiful instructions as well. After all that is setup though, you just NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect”) which is just copy and paste this long URL(connection secret) from Alby to Primal or whatever Nostr app you prefer.

It’s really hard for people to tell the difference from real chicken after I fry it usually. I’m gonna give your way a go the next time I come across one. Nothing wrong with onions, garlic, and butter!

GM everyone ☕️ I was just leaving for work this morning when I noticed a large bird in my rearview cam. I get out and it’s a hawk that notices me and flies off with something in its talons. All I could get a pic of was the aftermath. Looks like he just had a Mockingbird breakfast. Bird on bird crime out here in this heat, yall 🕊️🦅

Taking care of clients. Getting stuff paid. But most recently, finding out that there are scammers who target the bereaved pretending to be utilities companies, with convincing IVR systems, calling my business phone. Sooo that was news to me. Real life lesson of why our privacy is so important.
