I'm about 30 miles south of all this and we got less than 1" of rain. Texas weather is crazy!

Q. 60. How is the Sabbath to be sanctified? A. The Sabbath is to be sanctified by a holy resting all that day, even from such worldly employments and recreations as are lawful on other days; and spending the whole time in the public and private exercises of God’s worship, except so much as is to be taken up in the works of necessity and mercy. Ex. 20:8, 10; Ex. 16:25-28; Neh. 13:15-19, 21-22; Luke 4:16; Acts 20:7; Ps. 92 title; Isa. 66:23; Matt. 12:1-13.

Isn't that pretty much the whole country?

This time, for sure!

Q. 49. Which is the second commandment? A. The second commandment is, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me: and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Ex. 20:4-6.

FidoNET! LOL I was attempting to explain FidoNET to my coworkers last Friday. They had no clue. They were all AOL-ers. I ran a nice from 1989 to 1992 on an Amiga 2000. Great times!

I agree that it is a violation of the 9th commandment. Like you, I also avoid the X by sticking with first name, whenever it's possible. However, when pressed, I refuse to give in to the pressure. On a previous job working with a local USAF unit, I interacted with a military male who was "transitioning". Using my vast powers as an 'ignorant old boomer', I purposely called him 'Sir' at every opportunity. I could tell it exasperated him, but he never gave me grief or complained to management.

I am interested, as well.
