DEN Chat My attempt at a discord/ts/element/slack alt, built on nostr, event/blossom-based (not relay-based), with group encryption based on LKH, voice/video/stream based on Cloudflare (simple but centralized, free 10gb/month bandwidth) and Livekit (self-host but needs more effort and running cost) and both are encrypted, and there's spatial audio mode (i wanted this for a years). Notes: Is this a good idea with how it's built? Who knows let's see. Scaleable to millions? I tried to make it that way so fingers crossed. Is it actually any good to use? Hopefully. If you're wondering "so what's up with den?" Still fixing bugs, improving things. One main bug I'm hunting is related to file attachments in DM (private) not doing it right (narrowed it down to a hash issue). Aside from that, improvements related to adding years to dates here and there, moving some UI elements, etc. right now I've added more events to be rebroadcasted on login if it fails below 3 relays, to reduce the chance of events from being deleted, and more importantly also added the same system for the members lists for a hub (blossom / hash files), since it would pretty such if you open your hub and suddenly your members list got wiped. LiveKit now works for voice (before it was just cloudflare, but got around to self-host a livekit server and test things out) A shitton more to share in the patch notes, and I'm hoping a new release sometime this week (hopefully tomorrow?), unless my friend gives me more things to do x3 (I mean they did, but even more x3)

I just realized one benefit of receiving Bitcoin or other shitcoins to your nostr: If you see the funds in it are gone and it wasn't you, you now know your nsec is compromised xD

Accept it? Not sure what you mean by that, if you can elaborate. The flow is if someone sends you a NSP they'd then click that "Payment sent?" then "send notification" (otherwise the money is essentially lost since a notification, which would contain information about how the address is generated, isn't sen't). Before I removed NSP from DEN Chat, I had a gaurd-popup that appears if you close the receive popup after you generate an address, asking you if you're sure you want to leave without sending a notification (that gaurd isn't on DENOS, and I should add it, as well as adding a forth warning below that "payment sent?" button).

My 2 reasons: - eh why not - Part of the business model, where people don't know crypto but they do have paypal which recently introduced their own currency, and other popular payment providers will do the same, so it'll now be easier for them to donate/pay, and that pipeline is better than banks. Also, nostr-based fiat payments will be a thing down the line as well (solving-ish the visa/master problem that Steam and others have). So ya, there's now Bitcoin and shitcoins, and later traditional shitcoins (fiat) x3

I would've released a den chat update by now, but a friend came along and started testing and giving bug reports feedback, no filter, so been fixing and improving a lot. If you've been using web, all the updates are going to it, so you'd be seeing improvements. The desktop build is yet to be built (still fixing and improving), but I guess 0.2.2 build release will go out during the weekend. Won't add anything new, but a lot of changes, fixes, and improvements (patch notes will be long x3)
