Destabalise the country from seemingly internal conflict, then come in to "save the day" while taking rights to resources as a "reward". Maemo was so ahead of its time! It really had so much potential to be better than Android or iOS, if only more people had realised. I guess there's an alternate timeline out there where mobile tech is privacy respecting and community driven all thanks to the widespread adoption of Maemo 😅
