I think there needs to be more awareness of bitcoin wallet scams when bitcoin beginners are being on-boarded or even in tutorials. For example, everytime sparrow is mentioned, it should be noted in all caps: DESKTOP ONLY!! There is no mobile app at all!! Too many out here gets scammed.

Yes that’s true! One thing I would really love learn is the historical timeline of money and riba at the time of the prophet (saw).

Same reason why most people love eating junk food, waste time, avoid doing doing anything meaningful. It’s easy and the pleasure is immediate. Also credit card is money you don’t have and you will pay later, it’s the ultimate high time preference tool.

I really find it facinating that mainstream opinion of Bitcoin Maximalists are just a bunch of people who are in a cult and believe in bitcoin religiously, but if they hear that fiat is actually worthless because you have a central power printing it endlessly and you are forced to use it, they will never accept it. If you can bring a better alternative to Bitcoin, I’m all ears! If there is a better alternative to fiat, are you? So who’s in a cult?

Yea also in mainstream sm platforms, most engagement are just bots, so you don’t even know which comment is real a person or a bot, which is quite dangerous if you’re forming opinions.

Honestly, it was just that Bitcoiners would not stop talking about it. Finally I said to myself, “just try and see”. I stayed for a number of reasons, mainly the zaps(I loved the idea and how it can help with bitcoin scalability), not too much active feed and doom scrolling which was great for me, and the people on here are real interesting folks.
