I see this a lot more in real life, complain about never ending issues, when you provide solutions, suddenly it’s either not that serious or just out right crazy. Self sovereignty for some reason is an illusion to Muslims, and I don’t know if there a deep psychological barrier.

I listened to saifedeen’s opinion on monarchy and it made some sense. The state and its constituents should have a ying/yang relationship where a balance should be struck and incentives polarized.

One of the most difficult aspects of not having any mainstream social media apps is family and friends sending you links and you keep reminding them you can’t see it. I’m getting exhausted 😭😭

I stand corrected, I always thought zakat was a form of taxes but I have now realized that value taken from hard working people for profit by the state is the inherently haram. Zakat comes from long term savings and they go directly to the ones in need. You live to learn.

Just watched Katrina documentary on Netflix 🤯🤯 Tell me why I thought Katrina was just natural disaster, it felt so familiar seeing what’s happening in Gaza. Racism was always and still is very alive and never left. Just a very enlightening documentary for sure.

I think honestly if you profit from lending money, it’s riba. In this current monetary system, it’s hard to avoid it. Sound money is deflationary, you will be able to afford anything at some point in time which makes borrowing money useless.

Mine was Damus too, pretty smooth process. I thought primal was too mainstream for my taste and the mute didn’t really work.
