Done with PK (cleansing)... Now the rasayana (rejuvenating) therapies. While I didn't mind eating mung dal soup/ being vegetarian for 14 days... I am so hungry that I didn't want to spend time cooking side dishes to accompany my goat stew with walnuts, raisins and Persian limes ... 😂 #ayurveda #foodstr

Day 13 of 14 of PK. Artichoke heart and saffron jeera basmati. A slight diversion from the regularly scheduled meal 😊 When I lived in LA, I used to cook for people doing home PK. The meals were easily digestible and had a lot of variety. But doing my own home PK, doing all the prep for the treatments, administration of the treatments, cooking, laundering, cleaning ...I have been keeping my diet to basically mung dal soup, rice and sometimes a GF fenugreek chapati for brunch and dinner for 11 of the 13 days thus far. I did make baked pears yesterday which were a nice sweet treat... I would like my next PK to be at a spa 😁 #ayurveda #panchakarma #foodstr

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival 🍼 I'm interviewing an Ayurveda practitioner on postpartum...(Mamaayurveda.com) But the podcast won't be live until December. When are you due? She has a great ebook called 40 days for 40 years.... Because each day after childbirth will have an influence on your health for a year. So the first 40 days are important for mom to restore... Light foods, daily massages (for Mom and baby) and rest. Fenugreek and fennel tea is amazing for lactation... If you're not crazy about drinking it straight, you can use it as a seasoning (i.e., squash/carrot, fennel-fenugreek-ginger-cumin soup) If you're into dosa (Indian pancake made from idli rice and white urad dal) the batter freezes well. I add masala seasoning to my batter (chai dosa) and serve with maple syrup 🔥 Zucchini lasagna also freezes well (use zucchini and yellow squash instead of pasta) layer with spinach or meat sauce per dosha and personal preferences. Barley soup (for pitta or kapha constitution)... saute cumin, fennel, ginger in ghee. Add chopped leek and soaked barley... Cover with beef bone broth and simmer. Add some leafy greens or asparagus in the final 10 minutes...splash of lemon juice. If you're in Southern Florida, I'll come by with some fresh food ,🙏

It's rainy season and the temps are starting to drop as we transition out of the hot summer months. Fall is a good time to do a cleanse and remove excess heat from the body that accumulated over the summer. I'm starting a 14 day home panchakarma cleanse today. I clicked on it and my screen turned into a virus warning... Complete with AI generated voice advising against turning off the computer and urging me to click the button to get in touch with Microsoft.... JFC Ctrl Alt delete didn't work... It happened twice... Bc The first time they didn't fix the issue 😔 They said were hacked...I believe they said they were storing them unencrypted.. So that would seem like, my nsec is useless now...
