Key points: • 🔗 attach tags for unencrypted files in public notes • 🔒 eattach tags for encrypted files (AES-256-GCM per attachment) • ✉️ Standard JSON schema for encrypted attachments in DMs (NIP-17) • ✅ Integrity checks via SHA-256 • 🧩 Compatibility with NIP-17, NIP-94, NIP-96, NIP-98 Today, clients handle attachments inconsistently (inline URLs, custom JSON).
