I would spend some extra time making sure that the drainage and ventilation in the house and detached garage are good. Doing a detailed mold and air check will save you lots of literal headache later (from experience)

Congrats! If you are wanting to grow/raise food, look at permaculture. If you want to map your property for creating a master plan, use Qgis, grassgis, and RTAB-map on your phone. A cheap drone helps with orthoimages too. Is there already structures or will you be building?
