The older I get, the more I look back and realize I did not know WTF was up for so long. I shudder. Time and mistakes hopefully teaches and wisens you. Anyone who would wish for the assassination of a political opponent is demonstrably insane. Not only is it categorically against what Christ requires of us (Love your neighbor/enemies)…it works against your cause by completely knocking out the social supports of peaceful respectful dialogue. Like the Joker, some people like to watch the world burn. Accelerationists etc.

Haha! True….didnt think of that angle. I just don’t want us all hating each other over shit we can’t really control. 😞 I honestly think broken money and income inequality is CAUSING a populist surge. That and wokesters suck balls too. Do you remember the days of Ezra Klein cancel culture? He may have matured out a little bit these days.

Interesting…and strange. SE Utah has never been my idea of a leftist paradise. This smacks of meme/gamer culture & mental illness to me. As a father, I’m scared for our younger generations.

Well, I have learned over time to withhold my full judgement until more time has gone by. There IS a ton of false and mis-info out there. That we can both agree upon.

I had to take a break from Twitter recently because all I saw was bots trying to stir the pot with Kirk’s assassination. I was on there because I thought I must be up to date with all the latest btc treasury company talk. Turns out, I’m not much of a fan of that approach to bitcoin. Look: there are 15% of people on the left and the right who are extremist NUTJOBS. I did not witness anyone serious and reasonable celebrating Kirks death nor wishing a war with “the left”. Most people want to just lice their lives, get along and bitcoin. Call out extremism…don’t fall into the gutter on either side of the aisles here. We are called to love each other and that requires introspection about yourself and what makes you tick as well as understanding and compassion for how other people see the world. The steady march of time and regretful mistakes and misjudgments has beaten the fallacy of “black and white” from this man. I’m quite moderate, I have many friends on the left and the right. I have not seen one of my lefty friends say anything of this sort. I do have many friends on the right dog whistling for the next civil war. 🙁 Yet again, the shooter turns out to not be a lefty.

I don’t know you well HODL but I see that you have a nice life and are authentic in your wrestling with the challenges of life. You are a support to other young men & women wrestling with very similar curve balls this world throws. I would encourage you not to fall into the cesspool of partisan extremist politics. Please clean out your social’s feeds and touch grass. Take your family on a vacation. Grab a copy of The Brothers Karamazov and decide for yourself whether you’ll choose the way of man or the way of grace. Those itching for a civil war have no idea the common misery they are asking for. Our global adversaries are working overtime to drive a wedge between us all and for us to destroy ourselves from within. Killing others is not the answer. Do you honestly think that Jesus would be advocating for retribution? How did he respond to Satan during his temptation?

The “wokesters” perfected cancel culture back in Trump’s 1st administration. With regards to the Kimmel ousting…I’m less concerned about free speech violations; Disney/ABC are private companies that can make programming decisions outside of 1st amendment concerns. I’m more worried about straight up government coercion with the FCC chair threatening them!

Respect for and adherence to the rule of law is the most foundational belief for Americans. From it follows adherence to the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. If you throw that out, you can kiss the rest goodbye.
