Bananas are 59¢ a pound here, but when our little one started eating them, we were throwing away way too much money. Both she and Aaron are super picky—they want them slightly green, and the second a brown spot appears, they won't touch them. I was making more banana bread than any human should eat! We tried every internet trick out there, but you know what actually worked? Throwing them in the fridge. The peels turn brown, but the inside stays firm and perfect for two weeks or more. It stopped the waste immediately and saves us a chunk on our grocery bill every month. Do you keep yours on the counter or in the fridge?
